Happy Friday! This week was pretty low-key. I am definitely NOT looking forward to next week because my husband is going back to work on Monday. Work should be pretty interesting from here on out! On to my Friday Faves… This week is the Kitchen Edition! As I was making this post, I realized that 4/5 things I was showcasing were kitchen items, so I figured I would just roll with it and make it into a theme week.
Bamboo Bamboo: When Greyson started eating three meals a day, I realized I needed something a little more civilized for him to eat off of. I found these bamboo plates on Amazon and we haven’t looked back! They suctioned to Greyson’s high chair when we used it and they now suction to the kitchen island where Greyson eats all of his meals. I love the different designs that they have and the different compartments for the food. They are easy to wash, too! I use coconut oil about once a month to condition the wood.
Open Front Basket: I’ve been on an organization spree for the past month and a half. I have definitely slowed down in the past few weeks because the outdoor stuff has taken over, but I plan on getting back to cleaning and organizing ASAP! I ordered more pantry baskets because Greyson has so much food now that he needs multiple baskets! This kid eats like none other. I saw these open front baskets on Target’s website when I was looking for pantry storage and I grabbed two to store potatoes, onions, and fruit. What I like about them most of all is that they are stackable, so you can save space and easily access the items.
Cuisinart Coffee Maker: We have been in the market for a new coffee pot for a while. The one that we had prior did not have an auto on function and we felt that that functionality was a necessity. When we were waking up for work before this pandemic struck, we would work out in the morning before the baby woke up, so having the coffee ready to go saved a lot of valuable time in the morning. What I love most about this coffee pot is how it brews a 12 cup pot of coffee, but also has the capability to brew K-cups. My mom and my mother in law watch Greyson when I am at work, so I wanted something that they would be able to use. We’ve been using this coffee pot for the past 4 or 5 months now and I love it. It has a reusable filter and is very easy to program. The only thing that I’ve noticed is that when you use the K-cup functionality, the coffee will splash out of the cup a little as it brews because it is large enough to brew in a travel mug. LOVE that capability but it can cause a few drops of coffee to splash out during the brew. I love using the K-cup side to brew my tea in the morning! So yes, you can make hot water as well!
Method Granite Spray: This stuff is AMAZING! I use it every single night to wipe down my kitchen counters and they literally sparkle after! I love that it is made with plant derived ingredients and it smells SO good! We use the apple orchard scent, but they also have an orange scent. I originally bought my spray bottle from Target and then I just purchase the refills through my Amazon subscribe and save!
Baprons: My friend Julia told me about Baprons and I’m SO happy that she did. Baprons are basically a waterproof apron for babies. They are the only “bib” that we have been using since Greyson started solids. Once we tried it, we never went back! They are so easy to put on and to wash. They have a little tie in the back that doesn’t irritate Greyson’s neck and makes them a cinch to put on and take off. I wash them a few times a week with Greyson’s regular laundry, but you can also wash them in the sink after you use them and hang them to dry. We also use Baprons when Greyson paints or does anything crafty because they help to keep his clothes clean. What I also love is how they grow with your child. We started using them around 6 months and Greyson is 20 months and he is just starting to outgrow his Bapron. (Like I said though, my son is a GIANT. If you know me in real life, you know I am not exaggerating.) They have the CUTEST prints ever. They are a small business too, so please go support them!
In addition to this blog post, I also showcase all of my Friday Faves on my Instagram! I have all of my past Friday Faves, saved to my Friday Faves highlight in case you missed a week. Be sure to follow me on Instagram, so you can see the products in person!
